Microsoft OneNote Integration

OneNote is a tool that allows users to take notes easily, without having to deal with the constraints and limitations of Microsoft Word or Excel. When you add a OneNote section to a notebook, it’s shown individually within Dynamics 365 and in order of last modified time. This integration is only possible for Dynamics 365 Online deployments. Make sure you have the System Administrator security role or equivalent permissions in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Enabling OneNote Integration

To enable CRM integration with Microsoft OneNote, you must go to the Dynamics CRM web interface and select Settings > Document Management, as shown in below image.

Once you’ve enabled Server-based SharePoint Integration, you’ll see OneNote Integration

Note: By default, OneNote integration will be enabled for AccountContactLead and Product.

If you have a custom entity or if you want one of the existing system entities not listed in the OneNote configuration list, you can go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System. Then you can click the entity for which you want to enable OneNote integration and make sure you check the Document Management check box and OneNote Integration check box, as shown in below image.
Make sure to configure the entities for which you want to use OneDrive for Business by clicking Document Management Settings in the Document Management page, selecting the entities as shown in below image and clicking Next.

Accessing OneNote Integration

Once I’ve configured this, I’ll open the Order Fulfilment record I was looking at.
